Popsicle Stick Penguin Craft

Who doesn't love penguins? Kids love to watch penguins waddle and often imitate them.

If you have started planning for winter theme projects, penguins are a perfect winter craft for preschoolers and kindergarteners.

Easy Penguin Craft for Preschoolers

On our recent visit to Woodland Zoo in Seattle, we got a chance to see a whole host of Penguins sunbathing and feeding. Our daughter really enjoyed watching them walk and take an occasional dive into the water.

When it was time to ask her what she wanted to make as a craft to share in her class, she immediately answered "Penguin!"

Kid-Made Mother's Day Gift - Personalized Canvas & Easel Craft

Sometimes, kids get creative themselves! This is one where my tot wrote these words on her own when asked to write something about mommy. She did such a great job writing the characters out and making cute little silhouettes that it became a great card for mother's day.

I decided to convert it into a memento for Mother's day by creating a canvas and easel with her artwork.

An easy scribbled craft for the very special mommies!

Farm Animals Puppet Craft

Singing and music play an important role in child's development, language, and reading skills. In addition to developmental benefits, it's soothing, enjoyable and a fun way to learn.

From a soothing lullaby to swaying on a nursery rhyme, my toddler always enjoys music. "Old MacDonald Had a Farm" is one of my daughter's favorite rhyme. It's a nice song to teach kids name of the animals and the sound they make.

This popsicle stick craft is inspired by the amusing animals on the Old MacDonald's farm.

Popsicle Stick Clown Puppet

Peek-a-boo, I see a clown!

My tot's new peekaboo friend is here.

Recently, I was telling my tot about the circus and taught her how to draw a clown from the letter "A". Now, whenever we are with paper and a pen, her first request is to see a clown.

This morning she started a rut of seeing a clown and I thought why not make a clown craft today.

Inspired by: KidsActivitiesBlog Paint Stick Clown Puppet

It was fun selecting the cute components that we used in making the clown. Most of all, my tot laughed her heart out when I used our new clown to perform peek-a-boo for her.
