Easy Paper Garland Diwali Craft

The festival of light, Diwali is almost here! I'm sure everyone celebrating must be busy with the preparations and decorating their homes.

We love decorating our home on festivals with handmade crafts. Last year, we made paper leaf garland and this year we made this adorable Diwali kalash garland. Kalash is a metal pot with a large base and small mouth used commonly in Hindu rituals.

HOW TO MAKE PAPER GARLAND CRAFT?


SUPPLIES
Cardstock Papers
Glue
Scissor
Black Marker

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Trace and cut the shape of kalasha from the cardstock papers (colors of your choice).

2. Cut out the shape of leaves from green cardstock paper and glue 3 leaves on each pot as shown in the picture.

3. Draw midrib and veins on the leaves using a black marker.

4. Cut small rectangular pieces of cardstock paper (color of your choice) and glue them to the neck of the pots.

5. We made a accordion fold paper rope to hang our garland. You can also use yarn or twine to thread your pots.

That's it! Your gorgeous paper garland is ready for Diwali.
