Halloween Spider Craft

"Itsy-bitsy spider climbed up the waterspout...", is one of the first poems that a baby hears and learns. Little do they know that the spiders they so love are such great spooky icons for Halloween!

Did you know that Spiders are not insects? They are their own category called arachnids. And, while they have obtained a scary reputation, they are actually really fascinating little creatures. Their magical powers include weaving spider silk, which is considered to be stronger than steel with the same dimensions.

  1. I like this and so did my nieces and nephews. We made several to add to out wreath and webs because they were so easy and looked suitably scary with their mismatched eyes. Thank you for sharing.
