Paper Plate Penguin Craft

Mr. Popper's Penguin

It's always amusing to watch Jim Carrey's movie. The Truman Show is my favourite among his movies. Recently watched Mr. Popper's Penguin again with my daughter. She loved the playful penguins in the movie, which gave me the next craft idea for her.

It's a penguin and we named it Popper's Penguin.

HOW TO MALE PAPER PLATE PENGUIN?

MATERIALS
  • Paper plate (1)
  • Black sticker (eyes)
  • Pink sticker (cheeks)
  • Orange paper (beak)
  • Black paper (hair) - optional
  • Black paint
  • Black sketch pen
  • Scissor
  • Glue

Note: Using stickers for eyes and cheeks is also optional. You can cut circular shape from a normal paper instead.

INSTRUCTIONS
1. First cut the required shapes for beak and hair. The hair spikes on the head make them look like Royal or Rockhopper penguin. You can also make the hair yellow/orange if you like.

2. Mark the penguin back with black sketch pen and fill it with black color. Let it dry if you are using water or acrylic color.

3. Glue eyes, beak, cheeks and hair to the paper plate.
